A telehealth clinic. All of Quebec.

TELEHEALTH

A real conversation.
Without the commute.

Time to talk about your health, from a place where you feel comfortable. Our team guides you from your first call.

ONLINE CONSULTATION WITH A NURSE PRACTITIONER

Your needs.
The right starting point.

These are examples of concerns that may be suitable for telehealth. At Santé Direct, our team confirms eligibility based on your age, symptoms, medical history and the nurse practitioner’s scope of practice. Call before booking.

Skin and acne

Discuss acne or certain visible skin concerns. Photos may help; an in-person examination is sometimes still needed.

Contraception

Discuss contraceptive options or a prescription renewal, based on your medical history and the nurse practitioner’s assessment.

STI screening

Ask about screening for sexually transmitted infections when you have no symptoms. If samples are needed, they are collected at a service location.

Medication and stable conditions

Assess a prescription renewal for a known, stable condition. Your medical records and relevant test results may be needed.

Test results

Review available results and discuss next steps when your clinical situation allows a remote follow-up.

Urinary symptoms

Check whether a remote assessment is appropriate for symptoms that may suggest a urinary tract infection. Testing or an examination may be needed.

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

A little preparation.
More peace of mind.

  • Choose a quiet place where you can speak privately.
  • Have your identification and medication list ready.
  • Write down the questions and concerns you would like to discuss.
  • Follow the team’s instructions for connecting to your appointment.

We will explain the practical details before your consultation. If you have a question, call (514) 500-9022.

CARE THAT FITS YOUR SITUATION

Remote care, when it’s appropriate.

Some concerns require a physical examination or in-person care. Our team will help you understand whether telehealth is suitable for your situation. A prescription or test is never automatic: it depends on the clinical assessment.

THE LIMITS OF TELEHEALTH

Sometimes, care needs to be in person.

  • A physical examination, sample collection or a procedure such as an injection or stitches cannot be performed online.
  • Ear pain, abdominal pain or an injury may require an in-person consultation.
  • No prescription, antibiotic or renewal is guaranteed. The nurse practitioner decides what is appropriate after the assessment.
  • You need to be able to communicate in a private space with a suitable connection. If technical difficulties arise, contact the team to agree on the next steps.

An emergency should never wait for an online appointment. For chest pain, severe breathing difficulties or an immediate threat to your safety, call 911.
